Ramirez's journey with BCYF began in 2003 when he started as a lifeguard at the BCYF Paris Street Pool. He then went on to become Assistant Pool Manager at the BCYF Mason Pool, where he has created and implemented a wide range of aquatic programs. Born in Colombia and raised in Boston, Ramirez attended East Boston High School, where he swam competitively for four years. With over two decades of experience in aquatics, Ramirez is eager to take on his new role as Pool Manager at BCYF Draper Pool and continue serving the residents of Boston.
While Davis has already started her role at BCYF Condon, she will be temporarily located at the Gavin School for the summer while infrastructure work is completed at the community center's building. The Draper Pool is currently under construction and expected to reopen in the fall, but Ramirez will continue working at BCYF Mason Pool in the meantime.
BCYF currently has additional vacancies, and interested individuals can visit the City of Boston Career Center for more information. With Davis and Ramirez joining their team, BCYF is confident that they will continue to provide valuable services and support to the youth and families of Boston.
