October 6, 2025 ~ As the city of Woodhaven continues to make improvements to its infrastructure, residents can expect some changes in their daily commute. Starting from October 6th to October 10th, the city will begin installing raised crosswalks and paving the bike lane on Wood Street to Itasca Street.
In addition, a curb and sidewalk will be installed at the intersection with Itasca. This will provide a safer and more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists in the area. The installation of curbs between Savannah and Corman will also be completed during this time, along with the installation of a curb between Favre and Brockton.
From October 13th to October 17th, reconstruction work will begin at the Woodhaven/Cummins intersection. To accommodate this work, Woodhaven Street will be closed to general traffic between 7 am and 3:30 pm. However, residents and drivers who need to access properties on Woodhaven Street will still be able to do so.
