~ Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and the City's Office of Youth Engagement (OYEA) have announced that tickets are now available for the 2025 Mayor's Youth Summit (MYS). This annual event celebrates the contributions of young people to Boston's culture and is a citywide celebration. The summit will be held on Saturday, February 22 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Artists For Humanity EpiCenter in South Boston.
Under Mayor Wu's leadership, the Mayor's Youth Summit was brought back last year after being on hiatus for decades. This year, with support from local youth-serving partner organizations and City departments, the summit is expanding to accommodate more attendees. Free tickets are available for teens ages 14-19, with a total of 500 tickets being offered. Additionally, there will be 100 tickets available for adult providers in the youth work space.
Mayor Wu expressed her excitement about bringing back the summit and expanding it based on high demand. She stated, "Boston's future is in our young people, and we're lucky to have their leadership and energy to build a city for everyone." She looks forward to another successful summit held in partnership with local organizations that are doing great work with youth.
