The new website was created with accessibility, ease of use, and clear communication in mind. Superintendent Mary Skipper expressed her excitement about the new website, stating that it reflects the district's commitment to transparency, accessibility, and engagement with the community.
The layout of the website was based on analytics from the previous site, with a focus on making information about academics and student life easily accessible. In addition to a thoughtful navigation and design, several new features have been added to the site. These include enhanced language translation and a news hub where visitors can stay updated on the latest happenings in the district and school communities.
The first phase of the redesign includes the district homepage as well as several departments such as Family Resources, Transportation, and Welcome Services. However, this is just the beginning as there are over 100 school websites that will also undergo a redesign in the coming years.
