~ On January 4, 2025, the Boston arts community was struck with the tragic news of Kyre Ambrose's passing. The cherished member of the Boston Arts Academy Class of 2023 lost his life in Brockton, Massachusetts. As a passionate and talented dancer, Kyre's authenticity and humanity left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Kyre was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft and his ability to break barriers in the dance world. Despite being a male dancer, he fearlessly embraced roles traditionally played by females, earning him respect and admiration in the local dance scene.
Throughout his career, Kyre performed with several renowned Boston-area dance organizations such as the Tony Williams Dance Center, Phunk Phenomenon, and the cast of The Urban Nutcracker. His contributions to the arts and his community were celebrated not only by his peers but also by organizations like Stajez Cultural Center, Area 51 Majorette, J'adore Dance Company, and many others.

In light of this devastating loss, these groups came together in solidarity to offer their unwavering support to Kyre's family and friends. They also honored his memory and the transformative power of dance. Through his talent, compassion, and resilience, Kyre inspired countless individuals who will continue to carry on his legacy.
Recognizing Kyre's impact on the arts community, the Council officially declared January 18th as a "Day of Care" in honor of his life. This day serves as a reminder of Kyre's enduring influence and how he will continue to inspire future generations of dancers and artists through his work and the strength of those who have rallied together in his honor.
