Codman Square has supported businesses and entrepreneurs for decades. Recent public improvements include the opening of Codman Square Park and major capital work at the Second Church in Dorchester.

Mike Dockery, longtime owner of the Codman Square-based computer store Summit Electronics, is among the local entrepreneurs leading the effort to reinvigorate the association. The group plans to bring businesses together to give back to the neighborhood and develop solutions to common concerns.

Its priorities include activating public spaces, making the square more welcoming, beautifying the area, and improving safety and access for residents and businesses.
