~ Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) is proud to offer Boston students and schools the opportunity to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee program through the 16th Annual BCYF Spelling Bee.
Public, charter, pilot, parochial schools and home-schooled students are eligible to take part in BCYF's Bee this spring after they have won a Bee held at a Boston school. The program not only helps improve students' spelling skills and broadens their vocabulary, but also provides valuable experience in developing self-confidence.
To get involved, schools must register with Scripps National Spelling Bee online by December 31, 2023 at www.spellingbee.com/enrollment. An enrollment fee of $180 must be paid to Scripps National Spelling Bee and a school spelling bee must be held on or before Friday, February 23, 2024. The winner's name and bio form must then be submitted to BCYF by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024.
