~ Brighton, MA- The annual Hanukkah Vehicle Procession will be taking place on Thursday, December 26, 2024. This event, which has become a beloved tradition in the community, encourages attendees to walk, bike, or take public transit to the festivities. The procession will begin near Dighton Street and Chestnut Hill Avenue and will travel through the streets of Brighton. In order to support the event, parking restrictions will be in effect from 1PM to 8PM on certain streets. These include both sides of Dighton Street from Chestnut Hill Avenue to the Winthrop School and the west side (odd side) of Chestnut Hill Avenue from #5 (Bank of America) to Academy Hill Road.

Another exciting event coming up is First Night Boston 2025 on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. This popular New Year's Eve celebration will also have parking restrictions in place to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees. The following streets will have parking restrictions: both sides of Arlington Street from Beacon Street to Boylston Street; east side of Atlantic Avenue from East India Row to Commercial Street; west side of Atlantic Avenue from Commercial Wharf to Cross Street; both sides of Beacon Street from Charles Street to Arlington Street; north side (Public Garden side) of Boylston Street from Arlington Street to Charles Street; both sides of Charles Street from Charles Circle to Tremont Street; both sides of Cambridge Street from Court Street to Sudbury Street; south side (even side) of Cambridge Street from Bowdoin Street to Somerset Street; west side (Public Garden side) of Charles Street South from Park Plaza to Boylston street; east side (City Hall side) of Court street from Court Square inbound to Cambridge Street; and both sides of Tremont Street from Court Street to Boylston Street.
