~ Boston, MA - As the city gears up for two exciting events this weekend, residents and visitors are encouraged to utilize alternative modes of transportation such as walking, biking, or taking public transit. The annual Camp Harbor View Citython 5K and the Bay Village Neighborhood Fall Clean-Up will both take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
For those attending these events, the organizers strongly recommend using Bluebikes, the regional bike share service. Information about Bluebikes can be found on their website. Additionally, information about the MBTA can be found online for those planning to use public transit. The MBTA advises riders to purchase a round-trip ticket instead of a one-way ticket for a faster return trip.
The Camp Harbor View Citython 5K will kick off from Charles Street between the Public Garden and Boston Common. Runners will then take a left onto Beacon Street before turning onto Arlington Street and then Commonwealth Avenue outbound. The route will include a turnaround at Charlesgate West before returning by Commonwealth Avenue inbound.
To ensure smooth operations for the event, parking restrictions will be in place on certain streets. These include both sides of Arlington Street from Beacon Street to Commonwealth Avenue inbound, the south side of Beacon Street from Charles Street to Arlington Street, and both sides of Charles Street from Boylston Street to Beacon Street.
