CANTON, Mass. - BostonChron -- On June 1st, 2023, O'LYN Roofing will be hosting the Tenth Annual Tom Olen Memorial Golf Outing at Brookmeadow Country Club. The event was started in 2013 to honor the memory of long-time Neponset Valley resident Tom Olen, who passed away from cancer in 2010. All the proceeds are used to financially assist families struggling with cancer and to offer a $5,000 scholarship to a high school senior whose been affected by cancer.
Central Auto Team of Norwood, a local car dealership that has been serving the Greater Boston metropolitan area for decades, will sponsor the event again this year by offering a brand-new Jeep for the tournament's hole-in-one competition. Peter Catanese, owner of Central Auto Team, says his company is excited to support a cause the affects so many in our community.
In addition to the donation of a new Jeep for the hole-in-one competition, the Central Auto Team donated $3,100 to the fund and will send eight players to participate in the tournament.

The Tom Olen Memorial Golf Outing will take place at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton again this year. The event will include a day on the links, a BBQ dinner with dessert and appetizers, a variety of raffle baskets, as well as a few golf competitions throughout the day. Players can sign up individually or in foursomes – or you're not a golfer you can attend the dinner and raffle.

"After 10 years of doing this, the day never gets old!" said Michael Olen, founder of the Tom Olen Memorial Fund, "and we're thankful for the Central Auto Team's generosity. We hope more in our community will come out and support this cause that is so dear to our hearts here at O'LYN."
