BOSTON - BostonChron -- Boye Asenuga was announced the winner of the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award for outstanding and inspiring accomplishments in the fashion design industry after graduating from the School of Fashion Design Boston.
Founded in 1934, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in Massachusetts dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD alumni are industry leaders in Boston, New York, across the country, and around the globe.
"The School of Fashion Design is very proud of all its extremely talented alumni, and it is very difficult to select one who truly stands out," said Judy Ross, Executive Director School of Fashion Design Boston. "Boye has distinguished herself by elevating her work head and shoulders above others in the local industry, as well as continuing to participate in the School of Fashion Design community. We are honored to present her with our Distinguished Alumni award for 2020."

Boye Asenuga, the award recipient had this to say: "I am truly humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award from SFD. Moving to the US as an immigrant, SFD equipped me with the expertise to start a 2nd career in fashion. Not only did I gain the expertise, I was also welcomed into a very supportive fashion family of faculty, students and alumni of SFD, thank you!"
Boye "Bibi" Asenuga is the CEO/Co-Founder of CHICNICITY. She is an Apparel Development and Production Consultant, with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry.
She is a trained lawyer and a proud alumna of School of Fashion Design, Boston and Fashion Institute of Technology, New York.
