NATICK, Mass., July 17, 2025 ~ Cognex Corporation, a global leader in industrial machine vision technology, has announced the formation of a new executive leadership team under the direction of its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Matt Moschner. This move is in line with the company's long-term growth strategy, which was outlined during its recent Investor Day.
Mr. Moschner has identified three strategic priorities that will guide Cognex's future growth. These include becoming the number one provider of AI technology for industrial machine vision applications, delivering the best customer experience in the industry, and doubling the company's served customer base over the next five years.
To support these goals, Mr. Moschner has assembled a seasoned and dynamic leadership team from within Cognex's existing talent pool. This highlights the strength and depth of the company's internal leadership. The new team will report directly to Mr. Moschner and will be responsible for sharpening focus and accelerating execution on Cognex's strategic priorities.

Among the new roles introduced is Carl Gerst as Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Products. He will be responsible for global sales and product strategy, leading top-line growth initiatives. Dennis Fehr, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer, will continue to lead all finance and IT functions while also taking on responsibility for corporate strategy and M&A.
Sheila DiPalma has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Employee Services and Chief Culture Officer. She will oversee employee services, culture, communications, global real estate, and facilities. Reto Wyss will serve as Vice President of Vision Engineering with responsibility for all vision tools engineering and accelerating the integration of advanced AI across Cognex's product portfolio.
Shirin Saleem has been named Vice President of Software Engineering and will lead all software engineering teams with a focus on strengthening Cognex's software stack and building a cohesive product ecosystem. Richard Reuter will lead all hardware engineering as Senior Director while Mike Bowdoin will serve as Vice President of Operations with responsibility for global operations and supply chain.

Darren Long has been appointed as Vice President of Customer Success and will be responsible for technical support and services, ensuring a consistent customer experience globally. Mark Fennell will continue to serve as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, overseeing legal and governance matters including intellectual property and corporate transactions.
Mr. Moschner expressed confidence in the new team, stating that they are well-positioned to execute with speed, precision, and innovation.
