NATICK, Mass., June 9, 2025 ~ Cognex Corporation, a global technology leader in industrial machine vision, has announced the upcoming full launch of their new cloud-based platform, OneVision™. This innovative platform is set to transform the way manufacturers build, train, and scale AI-powered vision applications.
According to Carl Gerst, Executive Vice President of Vision and ID Products at Cognex, OneVision is the result of nearly a decade of industrial AI innovation. By combining advanced AI technology with excellent customer experience, Cognex aims to unlock new possibilities for their customers. Gerst also stated that OneVision simplifies the entire application development process, allowing customers to move faster, scale more efficiently, and maximize the value of their automation investments.
Designed specifically for the demands of global manufacturing, OneVision addresses common barriers to wide-scale deployment of AI-powered machine vision. These include long development cycles and steep learning curves, expensive infrastructure investments, lack of integration and disconnected operations, and inconsistent performance across sites.

OneVision offers an intuitive interface with guided workflows that allow teams of all skill levels to shorten setup time from months to minutes. Additionally, its cloud-based delivery eliminates the need for additional hardware, reducing upfront costs and maximizing ROI. The platform also brings tools, data, and workflows together in a unified platform to streamline collaboration and accelerate deployment across devices, lines, and locations.
With the launch of OneVision software platform, Cognex expands its industry-leading portfolio of machine vision products. This will unlock new applications and accelerate AI adoption while allowing users to solve complex vision tasks faster and more reliably at scale.
Currently available to select customers on In-Sight® 3800 and 8900 vision systems, OneVision will be released on additional Cognex products in early 2026. This launch marks another milestone in Cognex's commitment to providing cutting-edge technology solutions for their customers in the manufacturing industry.
