NEWTON, Mass. ~ Diversified Healthcare Trust (DHC) and Office Properties Income Trust (OPI) have mutually agreed to terminate their previously announced merger agreement, which was dated April 11, 2023. The Special Committees and Boards of Trustees of both companies have approved the termination. As a result, the Special Meetings of Shareholders scheduled for September 6, 2023 have been cancelled. Neither party will pay any termination fee as a result of the decision to terminate the merger agreement, and each company will bear its own costs and expenses in connection with the terminated transaction.
