Seminars will take place at Oom Yung Doe Somerville, located at Twin City Plaza.
SOMERVILLE, Mass. - BostonChron -- By popular demand, The School of Oom Yung Doe will offer free, monthly Women's Self Defense seminars, open to all ages and abilities. These empowering events reflect our commitment to enhancing the safety and confidence of women in our community.
Beginning March 14th at 7pm and running through June, the seminars will take place on the second Thursday of each month (April 11th, May 9th and June 13th) at Oom Yung Doe Somerville (https://maps.app.goo.gl/MqKoTTXa4avovqVz7), located at Twin City Plaza.
Head Instructor and 3rd Degree Blackbelt Sasha Craine said, "Self defense is an essential life skill and we are thrilled to offer these free classes to the community"

Participants in self-defense classes gain valuable skills and knowledge, building confidence in how to respond effectively to potential threats. Our instructors guide attendees through practical self-defense techniques that are easy to learn and implement, regardless of physical strength or experience.
First time attendee Christina Lorenzo said, "This was a great experience! I learned some really helpful tools. I was a little intimidated when I first entered, but the Instructor was great and made me feel comfortable and welcomed."
For over 40 years, Oom Yung Doe has been a cornerstone in the Boston community, teaching eight traditional styles of martial arts. Our holistic approach is about more than physical techniques; it's about building mental strength, including confidence, focus, and determination.
