Unlimited Hours at Reduced Rates This School Year - Approved under the Arkansas Department of Education Literacy Tutoring Grant; urgent call for enrollment as NAEP shows Arkansas trailing national averages
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - BostonChron -- In celebration of its one-year anniversary, Huntington Learning Center Russellville is announcing a community-first expansion of affordability. For the 2025–26 school year, the center is announcing the extension of its grant-aligned, reduced rate to all students enrolling in Learning Center services (K–12). Originally set for the Literacy Grant, this discounted rate will be available with unlimited hours through the end of this school year. Enrollment is first-come, first-serve and expected to fill quickly.
Over the last 12 months, local students achieved life-changing gains with Huntington Russellville, including: an ACT increase of 7 points; an SAT student accepted to Harding University this fall; a former struggling reader who earned all A's on this year's first report card; and so many more. These are the outcomes the center is committed to scaling for more River Valley families.
This announcement comes as the latest results from The Nation's Report Card (NAEP) confirm that Arkansas trails national averages in reading and math at both 4th and 8th grade—a clear signal that families need timely, reliable academic support to prevent long-term skill gaps.

"Year one proved what we believe—with the right plan and coaching, kids grow," said John Crawford, Owner & Executive Director. "We're celebrating by removing price as a barrier: grant-aligned rates for all students, unlimited hours, and an urgent push to reach more families now. Seats are limited, and this is the moment to act."
What's Included
NAEP (Nation's Report Card)
Arkansas students are below national averages in both reading and math at 4th and 8th grade, persistent gaps that won't close without targeted support. Huntington's individualized programs rebuild foundational skills, confidence, and momentum. For more info: Nation's Report Card

The University of Arkansas Office for Education Policy reported on the NAEP results and highlighted literacy as a concern. The U of A article found here reports that Arkansas' reading scores in particular have slipped to historic lows, with 4th grade reading currently at its lowest in 21 years. Huntington of Russellville can help.
"We're incredibly grateful to the River Valley," added Crawford. "In year two, we're aiming even higher; more growth, more scholarships, more acceptance letters, and more A's. With these grant-aligned rates and unlimited hours, we're ready to help even more students, including yours."
