The Public is Welcome to Come & Celebrate General Lafayette's Historical Tour of The United States in 1824
BOSTON - BostonChron -- We will honor Lafayette's legacy with a commemorative event on August 24, 2024. A muster and a parade from the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company Armory, beginning at Faneuil Hall, and then to Boston Common for a wreath-laying ceremony, followed by a review of the troops by General Lafayette. Parade participants will form on Boston Common, where Lafayette and many Federal and State dignitaries will address the crowd and receive a cannon salute. Join us as we pay tribute to Lafayette's return and celebrate the enduring spirit of freedom and friendship. Order of events:
