BEDFORD, Mass. - BostonChron -- Libman Education announces the release of the 2024 HIM Professional Census Report of Findings. The Census, conducted during April and May 2024, identifies the challenges and opportunities Health Information Management (HIM) professionals face as well as their key role in ensuring the financial stability and regulatory compliance of the healthcare organizations where they are employed.

HIM Professional Census results this year include information on:

• Salaries and benefits
• Certification requirements for a broad range of HIM-related positions
• Training requirements and goals
• The impact of AI, CAC, and other technologies
• Alternative career paths for HIM professionals looking to increase their value to their organization

Nearly 1,400 Census responses were received and analyzed to present an up-to-date picture of the diverse HIM workforce throughout the country. As in years past, Census results are dominated by the perspective of a particular subset of HIM professionals: highly experienced coders and others with active involvement using the coding systems.
