Last year, when faced with a Fifth Circuit decision that threatened access to mifepristone, Governor Healey took swift action to protect it in Massachusetts. She requested that the University of Massachusetts and healthcare providers stockpile doses of mifepristone and issued an Executive Order confirming protections for medication abortion under existing state law.

Governor Healey's statement highlights her dedication to ensuring that individuals have access to comprehensive reproductive care, including medication abortion. With CVS and Walgreens now offering mifepristone in multiple states, more people will have access to this vital form of healthcare.
