Michael S. Puniello PT, DPT is the founder of South Shore Physical Therapy Associates.
HINGHAM, Mass. - BostonChron -- Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide comprehensive treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, recently announced that Michael S. Puniello PT, DPT, Founder of South Shore Physical Therapy Associates, has joined the professional staff at the Cohasset Clinic.
Puniello is well established in the community having founded South Shore Physical Therapy Associates in Hingham MA in 1983. He is a graduate of Quinnipiac College with a degree in Physical Therapy. He received a Master of Science degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Puniello served on the faculty of the MGH Institute of Health Professions in the Advanced Masters Degree program for over 20 years. While there he was Curriculum Coordinator for orthopedic physical therapy and developed the Clinical Residency Program in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He has authored several book chapters and research papers. He has done numerous presentations at professional conferences and continues to teach continuing education courses.

Puniello is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, and a member of the North American Spine Society. He served on the board of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education and is on the board of trustees of the Foundation for Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.
