BOSTON - BostonChron -- Runway for Recovery (R4R), the nonprofit redefining the breast cancer experience through community and support, is thrilled to announce that model registration is now open for its 19th annual Boston Runway Show, taking place October 3, 2025, at The Westin Seaport Hotel.
The event celebrates the breast cancer community, honors legacies, and funds families impacted by the disease. Models include previvors, those in treatment, individuals living with metastatic breast cancer, and family members walking in memory of loved ones.
Following the inspiring participation of Hoda Kotb in R4R's recent New York City show, excitement around the Boston event has surged. Within the first few days of opening registration, more than 80 models have already signed up.
"Hoda's presence on our runway in NYC was more than symbolic—it was galvanizing," said Olivia Boger, Founder and Executive Director of Runway for Recovery. "Her courage and joy lit up the stage. The energy from that night has carried straight into Boston, and we're seeing it in the overwhelming response from our community."

Founded in 2007 in memory of Boger's mother, Cande Achtmeyer, R4R has grown from a local fashion show into a national movement. The organization provides direct financial support to families navigating the realities of breast cancer, including grants for groceries, therapy, childcare, and more. The annual Boston Runway Show is R4R's largest fundraiser, with proceeds supporting its Family Grant Program and other wraparound services.
"This is not your typical fashion show," Boger added. "It's a night of dancing, storytelling, and healing. It's about reclaiming joy in the face of unimaginable hardship."
