Northern Light Appoints Robert Trail President

BOSTON, June 13, 2025 ~ Northern Light, a leading provider of enterprise knowledge management platforms for market and competitive intelligence research, has announced the appointment of Robert Trail as their new President. In this role, Trail will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Boston-based company, which has a team of 60 employees and serves global multi-billion-dollar enterprises across various industries.

According to CEO David Seuss, Trail's extensive experience in the software-as-a-service industry makes him the perfect fit for this position. "Rob is a proven leader with a track record of driving revenue growth, expanding product offerings, and increasing market opportunities," Seuss stated. "These are exactly the qualities we need as we embark on an aggressive expansion initiative following our recent $23 million growth capital investment from LoneTree Capital."

With over 20 years of experience in executive, operations, sales, and technical roles, Trail brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at Northern Light. He most recently served as General Manager at Zenhub Inc. and held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer at Faraday Inc. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Bullhorn where he worked his way up to become General Manager of the firm's CRM Division.

Trail holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Middlebury College. He expressed his excitement about joining Northern Light and helping take the company to new heights.
