BRAINTREE, Mass. - BostonChron -- Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide comprehensive treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, is now offering a golf performance and golf specific rehabilitation program at their Braintree Clinic,
Peak has Titlist Performance Institute (TPI) certified physical therapists with specialization in golf specific rehab. TPI certified physical therapists are trained to help patients play golf pain-free and improve their game. They can assess and identify physical restrictions that might be limiting performance and creating unnecessary discomfort.
The program is designed for high school athletes and recreational golfers of all skill levels and can address an ongoing injury which is affecting your golf game, or for those who want to improve performance in general. A physical screen is performed on the first evaluation which looks at swing mechanics, biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health and past medical history. The therapist will analyze physical limitations in a player's body through this comprehensive screen and will determine how these limitations can affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. Once the screen is complete the physical therapist will create a unique plan of care specific to each golfer.
