EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - BostonChron -- Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance has re-introduced their Winter Sports Program to assist skiers and snowboarders with performance, injury prevention and recovery at their East Bridgewater clinic.
The innovative program was created by Dylan Berg, PT, DPT, to address the unique challenges and concerns of skiers and snowboarders. The program includes a full body screening to assess imbalances on either side, mobility deficiencies and how the body absorbs the impact with the ground. Skiers and snowboarders use muscles in the core, lower legs, gluteus maximus, hamstrings, quadriceps and knee flexors and extensors.
The program is designed to help patients tone up and prepare for the season or for those with an injury to experience a safe return to sports as part of Peak's Return to Sport Rehabilitation program. The program has assisted patients from high school athletes to those with mobility issues.

Berg graduated from Northeastern University in 2022 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Through his studies, he sought out elective opportunities to better manage the injured athlete, and he helped run research studies in the biomechanics lab. Berg enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries to help individuals return to sport and recreation. He enjoys working with athletes of all kinds and skill levels, and specializes in rehabbing skiing and snowboarding injuries. As an avid skier and boarder himself, Berg knows how important it is to get back on the mountain in a safe and effective manner.
"We often find that most people are stronger on one side of their body and they compensate, particularly after injury," said Berg. "Compensation can often lead to re-injury so we work on strengthening the weaker side which can maximize performance and return-to-sport safely."
"Dylan has found great success with his patients and this program addressing the unique challenges of winter sports," said Eric Edelman, PT, Founder of Peak Physical Therapy. "The winter sports use a lot of balance, coordination and muscle strength and Dylan is focused on assisting patient athletes in achieving their healthiest performance."
