~ Boston, MA- The city's Parks and Recreation Department has announced the launch of the Boston Neighborhood Soccer League (BNSL), a five-week pickup soccer league for high school students in grades 9 through 12. The league aims to provide a fun and competitive environment for players to improve their skills and connect with peers from across the city.
Starting on July 8, the BNSL will feature seven versus seven games every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at two locations- Boston Scores Field in East Boston and Madison Park High School in Roxbury. The open run format allows players to join any team, with each team playing two games per week.
Interested players can pre-register for the league now at boston.gov/parks-sports. The BNSL is a free summer program made possible by partnerships with Boston Scores, Soccer Unity Project, and Soccer Without Borders. In addition to the BNSL, the Parks and Recreation Department will also be hosting Boston Neighborhood Soccer Clinics for younger players ages 7 to 14 at their Summer Sports Centers from July 7 to August 15. Registration for this free drop-off sports and enrichment program is also available at boston.gov/parks-sports.
