BostonChron -- Autonomous, Inc (http://autonomous.ai) has announced the pricing and release date for its latest ergonomic innovation, the SmartDesk 4.
On November 4th and 5th, the SmartDesk 4 will be available for pre-order. In addition to being first in line to experience Autonomous' latest productivity solution, only on November 4th, pre-order customers will be eligible to win a gift of $250 worth of desk gadgets to complete their desk setups. Autonomous plans to announce even more exclusive deals on their products that will only be available during this pre-order period.
While the product launch has been met with enthusiasm from professionals looking for work-from-home productivity solutions, the SmartDesk 4 has also been mentioned by several influencers such as iamdeveloper, Linus Media Group, and Kelly Vaughn. The pre-order price is $539, which is about half the price of similar desks from competing brands.
More on Boston Chron
SmartDesk 4 is a premium smart tool for home offices and corporate offices alike. The desk is built with the same minimalist aesthetics that have come to define Autonomous' product line, including its popular ErgoChair 2 and SmartDesk 2. Designed to fit into any space, the SmartDesk 4 is packed with new features.
Among the new changes is the integrated SmartDesk 4 app, which synchronizes with any compatible Android or iOS device to give the end-user granular control over the desk's settings, as well as a variety of health-centric features. Users can also set a custom sit-stand schedule to ensure adequate time spent sitting and standing throughout the day, and the app includes a library of free exercise videos that show users how to do simple exercises right at their desks.
Its most unique feature is a cutting-edge safety mechanism, an anti-collision sensor that automatically stops the desk from lifting and lowering if it detects an obstruction above or below the desk. The Autonomous SmartDesk 4 is also the first ever standing desk to make the built-in anti-collision feature user adjustable for sensitivity to obstructions.
Though previous SmartDesk models have been hailed for their build quality and rock-solid performance, the SmartDesk 4 features even more new hardware improvements over its predecessors, with a new dual-motor electric engine that is quieter than ever, at just 40 dB. It is also more powerful, with a lifting capacity of up to 350 pounds, a 15% increase over the SmartDesk 2.
