Marine Week, Boston Common ~ Boston Marine Week is set to kick off on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Boston Common and will run through Sunday, August 24, 2025. The event promises to be an exciting one, with large propeller driven aircraft scheduled to land and depart during the five-day celebration.
In light of this, the Boston Transportation Department has announced temporary parking restrictions in certain areas to ensure the safety of attendees and minimize property damage. These restrictions will be in effect on Charles Street from Boylston Street to Beacon Street, as well as on Beacon Street from Charles Street to Joy Street. Additionally, the east side of Tremont Street (even side) will have parking meters restricted from the end of the Wang Center building at 270 Tremont Street to the driveway of Tufts Medical Center Garage at 274 Tremont Street.

To further encourage a smooth flow of traffic during Marine Week, attendees are encouraged to utilize alternative modes of transportation such as walking, biking or taking public transit. Information on Bluebikes, the regional bike share service, can be found on their website while information on the MBTA can be accessed online. The MBTA also advises riders to purchase round-trip tickets for a faster return trip.
