Uncle Sam Rounseville along with his wife Jean Kenney, donates $5,000 to support local youth.
QUINCY, Mass. - BostonChron -- For years Sam has given to others, from raising money for local and national charities to bringing awareness to important issues through his billboard located on Beale St and Newport Ave in Quincy. For Uncle Sam Rounseville, the secret to living is giving.
Uncle Sam Rounseville, a Quincy MA resident and local philanthropist, continues to make a positive impact on his local community by generously donating 25 scholarships to Quincy's Roundball Basketball Camp. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 7-16 and will be tailored to all ages and skill levels. Each scholarship is worth $200 and are limited to Quincy residents, but the camp is open to anyone living in the area.
Sam Rounseville, who is also a real estate agent with Red Door Real Estate, understands that investing in our youth has an overall impact on our community's success. He has dedicated his life to promoting patriotism and volunteerism and continues to be a local icon thanks to his larger-than-life persona. Quincy's Roundball Basketball camp is run by North Quincy High School head basketball coach Kevin Barrett and Paul Beston who has been the director of the camp for more than 30 years. The camp runs 9am-1pm on Aug 1-5th for children ages 7-11 and Aug 8-12th for children 9-16.
