Known for their unique and soulful blends of Afro and Soulful House beats infused with jazz, classic disco, and influences from Cape Verdean, Caribbean, Nigerian, and Brazilian music, the collective is making waves in the underground music world.

WAMPTRONICA's original productions, released through Poly-Groove Records, have earned critical acclaim from leading music publications such as Spirit of House Magazine, All About Jazz, BBB Radio, and Broadway World. The group has also partnered with the legendary New York-based House Music label, Eightball Records, to create exciting remixes and original productions that capture the spirit of their innovative sound.

In May 2024, WAMPTRONICA kicked off their vibrant tour, The SESSION, an ambitious series of pop-up dance parties in parks, parking lots, gardens, lobbies, public spaces, and small businesses across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut. Their mission: to bring underground dance music directly to the community. As the resident sound system for The THUMP & SOUL SESSION, a monthly underground dance music gathering, WAMPTRONICA continues to anchor the scene at New Bedford's Underground Railroad Cafe, located at 213 Acushnet Ave. Every third Saturday of the month at 9 PM, The THUMP & SOUL SESSION welcomes guest DJs and performers, offering an unforgettable night of House Music, Afrobeats, and Rare Groove.

Formed in September 2021, WAMPTRONICA began with a tight-knit group of Mashpee Wampanoag artists, including DJ/musicians The ZYG 808 and Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor, jazz saxophonist/percussionist Asa Peters, and EDM artist Futuractiv. Their first underground dance parties were hosted at the Native Arts Gallery in Mashpee. Following the gallery's closure, WAMPTRONICA relocated to Gallery X in New Bedford before settling into their home at the Underground Railroad Cafe.
