~ The Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit marked Fire Prevention Week 2026 with a community event at Castle Island in South Boston on Oct. 10.
Held in partnership with the Boston Fire Department's Aerial Drill Team, the event brought families and other community members together for fire safety education and activities. The team performed a demonstration highlighting firefighters' training and teamwork, according to the unit.

Visitors also took part in interactive activities, learned about fire safety and used a virtual bouncy house. The unit thanked the drill team and attendees for helping make the celebration a success.
